About
I was born in Jamaica, raised in Miami and moved to New York to pursue my childhood dream of becoming an actor on the big screens and Broadway. When I was a boy in Jamaica, my mother, aunts, and cousins were frustrated watching TV Shows and movies with me. Although only 5yrs old, I would tell them about exposition, subtext, and plot. I would know who the killer is in a thriller before it was revealed. I would express the meaning of the film and would know who would fall in love with whom in a romantic comedy. I still get excited about watching films and connecting to its stories.
Acting saved my life. My early years in Jamaica was filled with misery, from poverty & child abuse to classism. When I was 10yrs old, I auditioned for The Little People & Teen Players Club (Much like The Mickey Mouse Club in America). This rigorous performing arts program taught me the magic of theater! God I love performing! I would sing, dance and act! I learned about musical. I took so many classes in acting, voice and dancing. It was my heart beat then and it is now.
If I am not acting in front of the camera or on stage, then I am most likely working on a project on my own. My goal is to have a production company to tell meaningful stories which wakes up the mind of many. It is essential for me to use my gifts to the best of my ability to help the world. I want to tell global stories where we see ourselves in each other. Humanity is suffering from a lack of empathy and we are so removed from our sense oneness and human compassion.
